Fragments of Recent Commissions

Fragments is an exhibition of many different kinds of drawings -sketches, collages, technical drawings – made by sculptors for recent and for future commissions, both in Britain and abroad.

The drawings give us a valuable insight into the artists intentions, development of their ideas and reflections on the finished works. In some cases, work is yet to be realised – (for example, Richard Wilson’s piece Facelift, currently under fabrication for his forthcoming exhibition at the Saatchi Collection) – allowing us both a glimpse into the artist’s working process and a preview of what is to come.
