We are delighted to announce the launch of a limited edition vinyl LP of new work by composer Gavin Bryars made in collaboration with the artist Massimo Bartolini. Join us on Thursday 9 March when Bryars and Bartolini will be in conversation with Luca Cerizza, curator of the exhibition Massimo Bartolini: Hagoromo.
In là is a new composition created by Bryars for Bartolini’s immersive sound installation of the same title currently on show as part of Hagoromo at the Luigi Pecci Centre for Contemporary Art in Prato, Italy until 1 May 2023. Created specifically for the museum, In là consists of 75 metres of scaffolding that has been transformed into organ pipes. winding their way through seven rooms of the museum.
The vinyl LP is published by Alga Marghen with cover design by Bartolini and will be available in an edition of 400 from Soundohm.com. A new comprehensive monograph, published on the occasion of Bartolini's exhibition at the Luigi Pecci Centre, will also be available on the night.
