The exhibition shows works by female artists whose work represents outstanding positions within the history of modernism from 1870 to the present day. It is the period at the beginning of which female artists in Europe and America were first able to work professionally on a broad basis.
Dumas is one of the nine female artists in the exhibition who share a focus on the depiction of people, portraits and self-portraits.
