Edoardo Marraffa is a leading figure in the Italian improvised music panorama. For over 20 years he has been working on the sound of the saxophone, particularly the tenor, exploring the boundaries of its expressive potential. This has allowed him to develop a unique instrumental voice, keeping touch with tradition while retaining a highly experimental character. Marraffa has played with groups such as Tell No Lies, Small Talk, Silvia Tarozzi “Mi Specchio e Rifletto”, Eco D'alberi and Orchestra Creativa dell’Emilia Romagna. He has appeared at international festivals such as Vision Festival, Umbrella Music Festival, Mostra Sesc de Artes, Uncool - Music of the Cosmos, Taktlos, Konfrontationen, ArtActs, AngelicA, Controindicazioni, Clusone Jazz, Sant’Anna Arresi and Crossroads.
