For MIF25, Shilpa Gupta has worked with different local community groups to explore absence, longing, belonging and hope.
Created in partnership with Rochdale Development Agency, the work culminates in a sound installation using a series of singing microphones which encourage the visitor to wander around the installation taking in different perspectives in this moving and thought-provoking work of art about waiting, persistence and hope.
