Tacita Dean has produced a new limited edition print exclusively for the Hepworth Wakefield on the occasion of the museum’s 10th anniversary and the artist’s newly commissioned work Significant Form which is included in the exhibition Barbara Hepworth: Art and Life until 27 February 2022.
The print, titled La puerta del Diablo, is one of the 130 images that make up Significant Form, drawn from the artist’s found postcard collection accumulated from flea markets over many years. The postcards selected retain a relationship to sculptural form, reflecting Dean’s shared interests with Hepworth, and have been re-photographed and photo-chemically hand-printed at various scales and on a variety of papers for the exhibition.
All profits from sales of the limited edition print support the ambitious learning and exhibition programmes at the gallery.
