Fiona Banner aka The Vanity press speaks to Louisa Buck for Gallery Climate Coalition, about the artist’s ongoing engagement with the environment, climate action, and the power of images to prompt direct change.
The conversation video features clips from Pranayama Organ (2021), a new film work depicting two inflatable decoy fighter planes, shot on a piece of landscape that once lay under water, now facing out towards the English Channel. For Banner: ‘it is an area that speaks of desolation, cataclysm, climate change and it’s also incredibly beautiful.’
