Congratulations to Cornelia Parker who has been awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Parker’s major retrospective exhibition is currently on display at Tate Britain until 16 October 2022 featuring career-defining installations such as Thirty Pieces of Silver (1988-89), Cold Dark Matter: An Exploded View (1991), War Room (2015) and Magna Carta (An Embroidery) (2015), as well as the new work Island (2022).
Other significant solo presentations include the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Sydney (2019); The Annenberg Courtyard, Royal Academy of Arts, London (2018); Westminster Hall, Palace of Westminster, London (2017); Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (2016), The Whitworth, University of Manchester (2015), British Library, London (2015) and BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead (2010).
