Many congratulations Massimo Bartolini on being the artist to represent Italy at the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, from 20 April to 24 November 2024.
Gennaro Sangiuliano, Italian Minister of Culture has announced the appointment of Luca Cerizza as curator of the Italian Pavilion, promoted by Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture, with the project Due qui / To Hear by Bartolini, which will include specially created contributions by musicians and writers.
Further details of the project will be announced at a dedicated press conference in early 2024.

A veces ya no puedo moverme: A New Composition by Gavin Bryars and Yuri Bryars | Wednesday 17 April, 8–8.30pm / 9–9.30pm

The live performance of the composition, A veces ya no puedo moverme, commissioned for Due qui / To Hear and written by Gavin Bryars and Yuri Bryars will be premiered at Cosmo – a cultural platform located in the former church of Santi Cosmo e Damiano, on the island of Giudecca.

The Italian Pavilion will open to the public on Saturday 20 April with readings by Tiziano Scarpa and Margherita D'Adamo of stories written for the project by Scarpa and Nicoletta Costa. The readings will be followed by a performance of Audience for a Tree (2024) by Massimo Bartolini.
